Will Thompson has made reservations for the Ed Monk Wooden Boat Club at Mercato Ristorante (111 Market St NE, Olympia) during the Olympia Wooden Boat Festival. The date and time is for Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 5:30 PM. The reservation is for a private room for 16 people but the number can fluctuate without too much problem. The restaurant is Italian but serves non Italian dishes as well (steaks, seafood, etc). Main dish prices range from $15 to $25. I have not eaten there myself but have heard it is pretty good.
The restaurant is located across the street from the Olypmpia Farmers Market on Water Street. It is approximately half way between Swantown Marina and Perceval Landing Marina. 10-15 minute walking time from either location.
The restaurant manager has asked that I confirm the reservation on May 4, 2006 with an updated number of attendees. Please RSVP to Will by May 2, 2006

The Mermaid and the Crab is a computer embroidery shop in Gig Harbor that will sew our Monk Burgee's on hats and clothing. I think they also sell hats and clothing. They are located just west of the Harbor Restaurant at 3133 Harbor view Drive, Gig Harbor, WA 98335, Phone 253 858 5053. The owner is planning on selling the business but will keep the embroidery machine and continue to do our club burgee.
