Share pictures and information about your boat. There are many proprietary picture editor formats but all the good ones support the .JPG format.

• Save your pictures in .JPG format.
• Image size should be 600 X 400 for best resolution. If you can't do this, send what you have but in JPG format.
• Send your pictures to be displayed as an attachment in an e-mail.
• Include in the e-mail the information about your boat such as name, length, beam, draft, builder, designer, and any other interesting facts you'd like to share. Oh, you might as well include the names of the current care givers too.

Saving as .GIF or .JPG
Photo editing software that comes with scanners and digital photo processing has the ability to save pictures in it's native format (that of the manufacturers of the scanner or photo processor) and several others or neutral formats. Pictures displayed on the Internet are either in the ,JPG or .GIF format. These formats also allow other photo editors to import and edit your pictures.

To save your pictures as .GIF or .JPG you will probably have one of the following options.

• Go to the FILE menu of your software and look under EXPORT for the option to save a picture under another format. Pick .GIF or .JPG and follow directions.
• Go to the FILE menu of your software and look under SAVE AS option for the ability to save as a .GIF or .JPG format.

Select BACK to return.

Changing Image Size
Photo editing software that comes with scanners and digital photo processing has the ability to edit the pictures size. Generally this is done under the EDIT menu. For some software packages it might be under MODIFY modify menu. Look under HELP if you can't find it.
